| Company HistoryThe development of the Document Management Software Group system began in 1992, just as the potential of the Internet as a organizational tool began to truly bloom. As a developer with years of network and accounting system experience, Dr. Martin Brookes, with the help of business partner Mr. Doug Lattersby, began work on developing a solution for mid-large size organizations which would enable document access using this new Internet infrastructure. With this, the seeds of the Document Management Software Group were planted. Launched in San Jose, California with the help of a group of six committed angel investors, additional team members were hired and an initial beta version was released on a consultation basis to select organizations within the area with robust document management requirements. This initial beta experience enabled the team to begin developing the core processes behind the Document Management Software Group system, many of which are still in place today. Today, as a mature, innovative information management solution provider, the Document Management Software Group has attracted several Fortune 500 corporations, state and local government departments and large non-profit organizations to its systems, from which they continue to observe critical intellectual capital benefits.
